Once Upon a Wartime

Pippa Nissen Studio recently utilised RARA to build narrative models for the Once Upon a Wartime exhibition in the Imperial War Museum. Beautiful, exacting work was done for two months by a team of architects and model makers to recreate scenes from classic stories of war.

Most of the elements to the scale models were cast in plaster, and involved a system of production elaborate and poetic enough to feature in Blueprint Magazine. Images of the finished models can also be seen here.

Pippa Nissen Studio is an architectural practice who specialise in exhibition design work. RARA was commerically utilised for its flexibilty and focus on architectural making.
