Joe Soap

This home made soap was made by Dominic Rose. It embodies the DIY culture of  RARA, makes something beautiful out of something ordinary and cleanses you of the sawdust and emulsion from an industrious day in the workshop.

These are the first three bars which are being tested on live animals (Agata, Chris and me) and will be reviewed shortly.

At £3 per bar and £5 for two, you would be foolish not to buy into this once in a lifetime opportunity to be as clean as a whistle AND smell like last weeks roast dinner!

  1. Day 1 of using RARA SOAP by Joe Swift.

I spent last night with a terrible bug caught from my children. I was heroically sick after being presented with a full nappy from Julia and a potty full of crap from Oscar. After this exhausting puke-fest the last thing I needed was to lather my body with Lamb smelling soap. So I ran a bath and lathered my body with Lamb smelling soap.

Once submerged in the hot water I couldn't distinguish between the acidic puke smell lingering in the bathroom and the soap with which I was producing a better than normal amount of lather from. I was surprised at how much I was enjoying RARA SOAP's, well, soapiness. It was soap! it was cleaning me and I was thoroughly enjoying it.

Results measured by responses from the opposite sex:

My Wife: 'You smell like a Pot Noodle'
My Boss: 'Your skin looks shiny'
My Client: 'I want to smell your face'

  2. Day 2 of using RARA SOAP by Joe Swift.

My wife wouldn't let me have the bath before her this morning if I was going to use 'that Lamb soap'. Apart from that and me asking a couple of people to feel my face the day was normal. Lamb is a bit stinky first thing in the morning though - something that might have to be changed for the next batch.

However, as today was pretty much like any other day, apart from my skin being better than usual, I think I'll carry on with the RARA soap indefinitely.

    1. I've collected a jug full of rendered beef fat so the next soap will not have the 'morning lamb problem' of the first batch. Beef is reputed to make the finest soap of any of the fats - a wonder for the skin. Let me know how much you want.
