Last summer, Japan's
Axis Magazine had their correspondent cover the sprawling London Festival of Architecture 2010. A small exhibition called
Bargetopia, that acted as a window into the world of RARA, was selected to represent the festival - bar an almost imperceptible Japanese nod to
Zaha Hadid.
Axis were particularly interested in Bargetopia as it embodied an endeavour that Japanese culture might be too "ashamed" to embrace - architects openly admitting that times were tough. How Zaha got in on the story is unclear - some kind of dramatic foil perhaps?
