Max steams and bends wood

Max Lyne has been developing an eco friendly range of furniture products using traditional carpentry techniques he learned whilst working for woodsman Ben Law. This photo shows Max looking for something amongst a standard wood burning stove flue and a timber jig. The flue is where he has been steaming the coppiced timber for several hours in order for it to magically bend around the jig to eventually dry in his desired form. Several of these steamed timbers are arranged in a circular array, joined at the neck with a formed trunk piece and will function as a stand up lamp.
