Networks based on making.

Award winning architect Jimenez Lai, Founding Director of Bureau Spectacular, was commissioned this summer by the Architecture Foundation to build a cartoon world to live in for three weeks. Jimenez worked briefly with Sam Potts in Rotterdam for Atelier Van Lieshout in the late nineties.

Connections based on making have brought RARA, Bureau Spectacular and the Architecture Foundation together in collaboration. The project was made of CNC routed MDF and Plywood boards that sit on castors. It was built over the course of 10 rather intense days. I think it is safe to say that blood, sweat and some tears were required for it to happen.
