In this first post, we would like to welcome you to RARA. RARA has been established for over six months now, and we've had many friendly people through our doors doing their little projects and mooching around; several parties (+ a noise abatement order); and satisfying organic change in the flexible infrastructure put in place, as the nature of the use of RARA went through its paces.
We have been meaning to make a more dynamic outlet to share what happens in RARA to the outside world. This blog will be a more effective method than a static site.
This post will also perform a quick catch-up of any RARA below-the-radar publicity to draw a line in the sand. So: an intro to RARA in Building magazine; East London Local covers RARA's opening drinks; a passing mention in the Architect's Journal; Architecture00/: saw our flyer; Building Design doled out a fine compliment; Sarah Akigbogun interviews Sam Potts about RARA; RARA gets included in London Metropolitan University's Free Unit; and the Royal Institue of British Architects recommend RARA to its struggling members. Enjoy!
